OVERVIEW
With a global audience and over 6 million users, ORCID was due for a brand refresh. Their new style guide needed to be easily adapted to current design patterns, with a mind on accessibility and inclusion.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
Build a design system that is accessible and focuses on usability. Design system should be easily maintained, and a delight to use. Cut down on designer time by providing a thorough component based system that can be used by developers.
CONSTRAINTS
ORCID's registry is manually translated in twelved languages, and every component needs to support both left-to-right and right-to-left languages.
